Sculptures of Helsinki #12
Fact and Fable is a memorial for the author Zacharias Topelius. The statue consists of two female figures, ‘Fact’ holds the flame of truth on her open palm while ‘Fable’ has a bird resting on her fingers. There was much debate at the time which lead to another memorial for Topelius being commissioned.
Surrounding the statue is the temporary art exhibit by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
