The Memorial for Seafarers has stood on the southern coast of Helsinki since 1968 to commemorate the lives lost at sea. On top of the monument a continuous flame burns. When I arrived in Alta, Norway it was raining and continued more or less the whole time I was there. While exploring, the area was shrouded in a low fog that gave everything an eerie feel.
